HOUSTON, Feb. 7, 2001 (PRNewswire) — In contemplation of its business combination with Regent Group, Inc. Playa Minerals and Energy, Inc. has changed its name to Vulcan Minerals & Energy, Inc.
Under the terms of the merger Regent will purchase Vulcan by issuing 92% of its shares to Vulcan shareholders.
Vulcan shareholders will upon merger become Regent shareholders.
It is planned that the transaction will be completed February 28, 2001.
The name of Regent will then be changed to Vulcan.
