The National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) has named Sandra Sullivan as the new Chair for the Council's Water Institute. The Water Institute is the forum for NCPPP members to develop programs and activities that support the appropriate use of public-private partnerships in the water and wastewater sector.
Sullivan is Vice President of Government & Industry Relations for Veolia Water North America. She is the key representative and liaison for Veolia Water with groups and associations in the water sector. She also leads the sales and marketing efforts for the Northeast region that includes the six New England states and the State of New York.
Sullivan has more than 30 years of professional experience, with more than 18 years of experience in the water industry. She joined Veolia Water in 1991, and is responsible for the development of public-private partnerships in the water and wastewater industry.
Prior to joining Veolia Water, Sullivan held state-level governmental positions of responsibility, including Director of Housing, Energy & Intergovernmental Relations for the State of Rhode Island. She brings to her position the unique perspective and understanding of having served in the public sector as well as the private sector.
A resident of Scituate, RI, Sullivan is a graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island, Continuing Education Program Rhode Island College, and the Leadership Rhode Island Theta Class.
In naming Sullivan as Chair of the Water Institute, the NCPPP Executive Committee also modified the charter of the Institute, broadening the base of members who might serve on its Steering Committee to include any Sponsor Members of the Council with an interest in this area.
