Sylvan Source teams with TriLateral Energy in water, power joint venture
• New venture to commercialize Sylvan Source technology for industrial and municipal water purification, environmental remediation
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 24, 2007 -- Sylvan Source, the provider of breakthrough ultra-clean water systems, today announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Trilateral Energy, LLC to form TriVan Infrastructure International, a new company that will commercialize Sylvan Source's proprietary water treatment technology for use in industrial and municipal water purification and environmental remediation markets. The new venture will enable Sylvan Source to take the next step in extending its technology to new markets, while providing TriLateral with a patent-pending, revolutionary technology that addresses the large-scale water purification needs of its global clients.

TriVan Infrastructure will combine Sylvan Source technical intellectual property and engineering expertise with TriLateral's vast experience in managing and deploying large-scale, end-to-end energy and water systems. The company will initially target opportunities that involve integrated water and power plants, commonly found in the Middle East, that produce hundreds of thousands to millions of gallons of processed water per day.

Mr. O'Shei will serve as TriVan Infrastructure International's chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) and Ms. Demmons will join Mr. O'Shei as a director of the company. Prior to founding TriLateral, Mr. O'Shei served as chief operating officer (COO) for International Water Ltd., Bechtel Corporation's international water infrastructure subsidiary, and as co-COO for MidAmerican Energy Holdings and vice-chairman and COO of CalEnergy.
