SPOKANE, WA, Dec. 2, 2004 -- Itron Inc. and public works officials from the Village of Oswego, Ill., will present a web seminar (webinar) on a new Water Fixed Network 2.5 deployment, at 9 a.m. PST, Dec. 9.

Hear first-hand from Oswego officials how Itron's Water Fixed Network is exceeding their initial expectations. Public Works Director Jerry Weaver and Water Department Manager George Gurley along with Greg Myers, Product Manager from Itron, will provide a 60-minute dialogue on how fixed network technology is exceeding meter reading performance expectations in operational efficiency and cost savings. There will be a live Q&A session directly after the presentation.

The Oswego system, purchased from AMCO Water Metering Systems through their local distributor, Water Products, is one of the first in the country to deploy Itron's Water Fixed Network 2.5, a new generation of fixed network technology anchored by a more powerful meter endpoint. Designed specifically to meet the business needs of water utilities, Itron's Water Fixed Network enables water providers to achieve significant improvements in operational efficiency, safety, customer service and resource conservation.
