Today, Inframark announced that it was awarded a contract for the operations and maintenance of 11 lift stations, a 30-mile collection system and a wastewater treatment plant in rural Michigan.
The contract, announced in a press release, was awarded by the region's Lakes Area Sewer Authority. The contract would last six years, with an option for a five-year renewal, and begins Aug. 1, 2021.
“Lakes Area Sewer Authority is excited to partner with Inframark not only because of their ability to staff the project, but also the regional and national support they have offered. As a result of this partnership, LASA will receive access to best-in-class asset management tools, employee training, and growth opportunities, and have access to Inframark’s vast network of subject matter experts,” said LASA Chairman Gerald Melko. “Inframark’s customer-focused approach will provide the Authority with the greatest immediate and long-term value.”
The addition of LASA adds to Inframark’s resume in the Great Lakes State, where the company also operates the WWTP, nine lift stations, and 15-mile collection system in Howell Twp., as well as the WWTP for the Tawas Utilities Authority.
Inframark has announced a wealth of water infrastructure contracts in recent weeks, including a 10-year contract in Hazlehurst, Mississippi and a large one-year contract on North Lauderdale, Florida.
“Inframark is proud to partner with the Lakes Area Sewer Authority for its wastewater operations,” said Inframark Vice President Kirt Ervin. “We will ensure that we provide the Authority and its customers with the excellent service and expertise that they should expect and deserve.”
