WWEMA announces winner of 2022 Morriss Award

The association named Jay Conroy, president of Hydro-Dyne Engineering Inc., as the winner of its 2022 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award.

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) named the recipient of its 2022 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award at the association’s 114th annual meeting in San Diego, Calif., on Nov. 3.

The award went to Jay Conroy, president of Hydro-Dyne Engineering Inc., headquartered in Clearwater, Fla. The award is presented each year to a WWEMA member for significant contributions to the mission of the association and to the overall benefit of the water and wastewater industry.

Vince Baldasare, 2022 chairman for WWEMA and sales manager for Gorman-Rupp Company, presented the award to Conroy. Baldasare cited Conroy’s outstanding service to and support of the association.

Conroy regularly attends the association’s Washington Forum, Presidents Council, and annual meeting. He writes industry articles on behalf of WWEMA and is currently serving on the Dues subcommittee.

He has served as the vice-chair and chair of the Marketing & Member Services committee and has also served on the association’s Strategic Planning committee.
