ANAHEIM, CA, Aug. 18, 2009 -- A school district in Washington Township has installed a Jellyfish Filter System to treat stormwater runoff from a large parking lot that serves its Westwood Regional Junior/Senior High School.
The Jellyfish Filter System, created by Imbrium, is a membrane-based filtration system that has gained a reputation for effectiveness, easy installation, low maintenance costs and a small footprint. It has been interim certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).
The Jellyfish system was chosen for this project based on the school district's commitment to sustainable development. Jellyfish provides a higher level of stormwater treatment than traditional filter systems as a result of its innovative membrane approach, with low maintenance costs. Jellyfish cartridges are passively backwashed after every storm and can be manually cleaned during regular maintenance, thus prolonging the service life of the cartridge.
