DENVER, CO, April 9, 2007 -- CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, construction and operations firm, has named Terry Krause vice president and senior program manager for the firm's Water Business Group.
Working out of CH2M HILL's new downtown Chicago office, Krause will support the firm's water business activities by serving as a program manager and senior technologist. With more than 33 years of experience, Krause is a recognized leader in wastewater and water treatment, as well as wastewater collection, water storage and distribution. His experience includes alternative delivery methods such as design-build domestically and internationally.
Previously Krause served as a vice president with several large global consulting firms where he served in both technical and operational roles. Recent project activities include serving as project manager for the preliminary design of sludge processing facilities for a 1,200-million-gallon-per-day water reclamation plant; the technical advisor for a $350 million upgrade to a Canadian water pollution control center; and directing several major water and wastewater projects throughout the Middle East.
Krause is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation (WEF). Krause currently serves on the WEF House of Delegates, the Program Committee and as chair of the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Design Committee.
Krause received a master's degree in civil engineering from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is a registered professional engineer in eight states and is a board-certified diplomat of the American Association of Environmental Engineers.
