Carollo Engineers names next president and CEO

Carollo Engineers appoints Anne Prudhel as its next president and CEO.

Carollo Engineers has selected Anne Prudhel as its next president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2027. B. Narayanan, who has served as the firm's president and CEO for 15 years, will retire at the end of 2027 and remain with Carollo in an advisory role through the end of the year.

Prudhel has 24 years of experience in water infrastructure, including projects involving water supply, wastewater collection, recycled water and regional conveyance systems. She has also worked with utilities on long-term planning and securing low-interest financing for capital improvement programs.

Prudhel joined Carollo in 2004 and has held senior positions including chief of infrastructure design and client services director. She also serves on the firm's strategic growth advisory board and board of directors and has led employee engagement initiatives.

The leadership transition comes after 36 years at Carollo for Narayanan. During his tenure as president and CEO, the firm grew from more than 500 employees to nearly 2,000. Before becoming CEO, Narayanan served as the firm's director of wastewater process technology, overseeing process design and operational startup for wastewater projects.

Carollo said the transition is part of its internal leadership succession process. Prudhel said she plans to focus on continued investment in employees, client relationships and technical expertise while maintaining the firm's existing culture and approach to water infrastructure.
