Click here to enlarge imageMission manufactures a wireless, autodialer-like, cellular-control-channel based SCADA system. It works where regular cellular doesn't and requires no phone lines. The company claims to offer the lowest cost system in its product category. The system's RTU has eight digital, two analog and one pulse counter inputs. It also has three outputs, monitors three pump run times and has an electronic key reader to track which maintenance personnel are on site. Alarms or status data go to phone (custom voice messages), fax, pager, and e-mail, and have receipt confirmation. Data also logs at a personal web site and, optionally, directly to the control room HMI. Weekly management summary reports are faxed or e-mailed. The Mission management team is the same team that six years ago was in the joint venture with Bell South where control channel communication was invented. They were also the same management team that founded the first control channel application that today has over 70,000 units across North America.
