Pennwell, WEF Announce New Marketing Partnership
PennWell Corporation, publisher of WaterWorld, Industrial WaterWorld and Water & Wastewater International, has announced a new cross-marketing partnership with the Water Environment Federation (WEF). The partnership will focus on joint efforts to cross-market WEFTEC®, the Federation's annual technical conference and exhibition, and Water and Wastewater Europe (WWE), PennWell's annual event for European water and wastewater industries.
WaterWorld has also signed an agreement to be a supporting publication for WEFTEC.05®
"We are excited about the opportunity to work with the Water Environment Federation," said Bob Smock, Vice President of the Business and Industrial Group at PennWell. "As the leading publisher of magazines serving the global water community, it is only fitting that we should join forces with the largest water quality event in America."
The annual WEFTEC event typically draws more than 15,000 attendees and 800 exhibitors. It provides the latest in technical information for water treatment, use and disposal. Water and Wastewater Europe serves a similar purpose for European water professionals. The cross marketing partnership will provide financial incentives for WEF members, conference attendees and exhibitors on both sides of the Atlantic.
"WEF and PennWell are both leaders in the water quality community, dedicated to keeping water quality professionals at the leading edge of technology," said WEF Executive Director Bill Bertera. "This new partnership is an example of the Federation's plan to partner with other leading water quality organizations to meet our commitment of preserving and enhancing the global water environment."
The co-marketing campaigns will begin at WEFTEC.04 in New Orleans, LA, set for Oct. 2-6. The agreement targets regional, national and international audiences for Water & Wastewater Europe 2005 in Milan, Italy (June 28-30) and WEFTEC.05 in Washington, D.C. (October 29-November 2).
