Pipe fusion

The TracStar 1200 from McElroy features an advanced emission control engine that burns ultra-low-sulfur diesel to meet the EPA’s latest Tier 4 standards. The TracStar 1200 butt fuses pipe from 16” OD to 48” OD (450 mm to 1200 mm) and can traverse most any terrain - mud, loose soil, snow and grades up to 30%. It is self-contained with an on-board generator for powering the hydraulic pivoting heater and facer. The 3- or 4-jaw convertible carriage is easily removable for in-ditch use. Other features include hydraulic outriggers for machine stability and leveling, an ergonomic operator platform and remote engine stop/start capabilities.
