CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, Jan. 27, 2005 -- GE Fanuc Automation Americas Inc., a unit of GE Infrastructure, has introduced a new Premier Solution Provider (PSP) Program that certifies technical and project-management capabilities, matches automation projects with qualified best-in-class systems integrators and OEMs, and helps to ensure that end users can maximize the productivity and efficiency benefits of their industrial automation solutions. Additionally, GE Fanuc has launched a new Premier Solution Provider website at www.gefanuc.com/list.

Through this new program, GE Fanuc forms alliances with industry-leading systems integrators and OEMs who have proven skill sets and complementary technology application expertise, following technical, operational and quality evaluations. The rigorous PSP audit process includes an assessment of customer references and knowledge of automation system design and optimization. The program examines a systems integrator's ability to extend an installed base of automation assets by layering and applying state-of-the-art open technologies to enhance functionality for greater return.

"Automation users have the tremendous opportunity to improve productivity, profitability and competitive advantage by implementing new, open and layered technologies," said Tom Cruz, vice president of global marketing and professional services, GE Fanuc Automation. "However, a successful automation project that helps production run smoothly, efficiently and with greater return on investment requires exceptional domain expertise. With the Solution Provider Program, GE Fanuc can help customers choose a qualified systems integrator and offer support from one of the largest companies in the world to deliver beyond expected results.

"Systems Integrators have always been a key element of the overall GE Fanuc strategy," Cruz continued. "We maintain a high degree of cooperation by managing our targeted market development, internal proof-of-concept work and systems integrations partnerships all in one group, under one leader. These valued companies bring a dedicated talent and level of service that greatly enhances our efforts, and it has always been our goal to reward them. We team with Systems Integrators on many projects - large and small at GE Fanuc, and our Solution Providers are a critical part of our Professional Services team."

The GE Fanuc Solution Provider Program features two levels, Solution Provider and Premier Solution Provider, distinguished by commitment and benefits. "At the core of the Premier Solution Provider level," Cruz explains, "is the concept of developing a joint business plan in which GE Fanuc and the Systems Integrator team together to deliver, respectively, products and integration solutions that exceed customer needs."

Key goals of the program include:
* Responding to critical customer requirements for local support, specific industry knowledge, and GE Fanuc product expertise;
* Providing the tools, products and training to enable systems integrator partners to successfully implement customer applications; and
* Delivering innovative automation solutions, based on best-in-class hardware and software.

Rewards to participants range from software keys, knowledgebase CDs, priority technical support, sales and marketing tools, and training.
