MILWAUKEE, WI, Nov. 9, 2005 -- Badger Meter Inc. announced Oct. 24 that it was named one of the "200 Best Small Companies" by Forbes magazine.

The Forbes magazine list of the 200 Best Small Companies is based on performance for one-year and five-year periods as measured by return on equity, ratio of debt to equity and growth in sales and earnings. The last time that Badger Meter made the Forbes list was in 1999.
