Kemira gets supply contracts in Montreal, Toronto

Canada, Jan. 29, 2016 -- Kemira was recently awarded supply contracts for the two most populated cities in Canada.

Kemira was selected by the city of Toronto, the largest city in Canada, for a three year contract supplying ferrous chloride to the City’s five waste water treatment plants. Ferrous chloride is used to enhance phosphorous removal and control odor and corrosion through sulfides precipitation. Kemira has enjoyed a long standing relationship with Toronto providing over 35 years of continuous supply.

Kemira also secured a four year contract with the city of Montreal beginning November 2015. For the past 28 years, Kemira (has supplied aluminum sulfate or ferric chloride to cover the needs of the second largest city in Canada. Kemira was selected for its high quality, reliable supply, cost competitiveness, and outstanding product performance. The cooperation with the City of Montreal is excellent and Kemira is now working to qualify additional products for upcoming tenders.
