SJE-RHOMBUS® ACQUIRES MCC Control Systems, Expanding PRIMEX® Business

March 3, 2016 (DETROIT LAKES, Minn.) -- SJE-Rhombus®, a global manufacturer of water and wastewater
control solutions, has acquired MCC Control Systems, a systems integrator and automation solutions
provider for municipal water, wastewater and industrial applications. SJE-Rhombus will position MCC
Control Systems within PRIMEX®, the company’s business dedicated to systems integration and
engineered control solutions.

According to Dave Thomas, President and CEO of SJE-Rhombus, the acquisition provides an opportunity
to expand overall capacity and better serve customers in the Western U.S. with a California
location. Thomas stated that, “PRIMEX has become a one-stop source for all the municipal customer’s
needs, where they can have access to the largest and most experienced team in the industry for
every aspect of their projects, across North America. The acquisition of MCC will add tremendous
expertise in sales, design, programming, production, project management and field service to our
organization. “

Founded in 1989, MCC Control Systems, based in Vacaville, CA employs 27 professionals specializing
in highly complex, integrated automation solutions for the municipal water and wastewater industry.
Using a process driven, customer focused business model, MCC differentiates itself through
technical expertise, robust understanding of the water and wastewater market, reputation for
quality, and deep relationships with Central and Northern California municipalities and municipal
contractors.

Adam Vesely, MCC President, will be joining SJE-Rhombus as Director of Operations for the
Engineered Division. He has a tremendous track record of success in leading multi-location
operations teams in industrial markets. Adam will have responsibility for all functions within the
Operations group across all US locations and will be a member of the SJE-Rhombus corporate
leadership team.
