AECOM hires Ron Cass as a senior program/project manager in its Water group in the Gulf Southwest region

Aug. 22, 2017
HOUSTON (Aug. 22, 2017) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, today announced the addition of Ron Cass, PE, PMP, as the senior program/project manager to its Water group in the Gulf Southwest region. Based in Texas, Cass will focus on identifying new business opportunities, delivering on client projects and mentoring staff.

Cass brings more than 30 years of experience in the evaluation, design and construction of industrial, municipal water and wastewater treatment plants ranging from 10-millions of gallons per day (mgd) to 500-mgd. Throughout his career, he has delivered complex water treatment, seawater desalination, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR), brackish reverse osmosis (RO) and alternative delivery projects across the world.

“Texas is one of the nation’s fastest growing populations, which brings challenges in water sustainability,” said Tyler Jones, AECOM Gulf Southwest region business line lead. “With Ron’s extensive experience in water design and construction, we are confident he will help AECOM proactively combine science and technology with innovative management approaches so people across the state have access to safe, clean water for years to come.”

Prior to joining AECOM, Cass was a project technical lead and design manager for MWH, where he routinely led teams of more than 50 multi-disciplined water treatment plant design and process experts. Most recently he managed a team of more than 60 design engineers to develop design documents for the staged construction of a waste treatment facility in Oregon. He has also managed the expansion of water facilities in Cape Coral and Tampa Bay, Florida and provided oversight for the largest RO desalination plant in Australia.

Cass is a licensed PE (civil) in five states including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Florida and Oregon, and has a PMP certification. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
