Water resources industry leader Roger Copp joins Water Science Associates
With more than 37 years of experience in conducting watershed management and integrated surface and groundwater modeling studies, Copp has led numerous projects addressing surface and groundwater hydrology and hydraulics, wetland restoration, and water quality.
"Roger's integrated approach to water resource planning as well as his past regional focus on watershed solutions and groundwater management will provide for more innovative and collaborative solutions to water resource challenges," said Kirk Martin, president of Water Science Associates. "His well-established knowledge and experience is an invaluable strength, and we look forward to his leadership in our future growth."
In addition to his experience on the Everglades Agricultural Area Regional Feasibility Study, Copp has extensive knowledge in the application of computer models to evaluate watersheds and identify water resource solutions. His project experience includes directing watershed management planning and hydrologic design for numerous private and public entities, including the C-43 Storage Reservoir in Hendry County, Picayune Strand Restoration Project, Cape Coral Stormwater Master Plan Update, South Lee County Watershed Plan Update, Babcock Ranch Dispersed Water Storage Assessment, and Stormwater Treatment Area 5/6.
Copp is currently working on the hydrologic and hydraulic evaluation of Cape Coral canals to improve water supply to the City of Cape Coral. He is also directing the conceptual design of an offline reservoir in Charlotte County west of I-75 that will provide a storage area focused on reducing high water levels in the Cecil Webb Wildlife Management Area.
