ATLANTA, March 5, 2003 -- Bob Thomas has been named commercial development manager for NORIT Americas Inc. (NAI), based in Atlanta.
NORIT, headquartered in The Netherlands, is the world's largest producer of activated carbon.
Due to the significant opportunities and pressing need for the development of new activated carbon products and markets, NORIT Americas Inc. will be forming a new commercial development team.
NORIT representatives said they were very pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Thomas to the new position of Commercial Development Manager.
In his new role, Bob will have primary responsibility for the commercialization of new products such as performance-enhanced lignite coal products and a variety of new carbon products with unique benefits to industry, as well as the development of new markets for activated carbon products.
Reporting to Bob will be Mark Cummings - Marketing Communications Manager. In addition to his marketing communications role, Mark will also be responsible for market research and project management support for the commercial development program.
