MOROLICA, Honduras -- The peaceful landscape belies the violence with which Hurricane Mitch hit Honduras in 1998. It was the most devastating storm in the western world in 200 years. Ten thousand people lost their lives, and the landscape was altered forever.

To this day, UNICEF continues to help the people of Morolica recover. Efforts include a fresh water system that ensures the town's taps don't run dry.
