LOVELAND, CO, June 25, 2007 -- The California Rural Water Association recently presented its Associate Member of the Year Award to Hach Company. Hach is the first CRWA associate member to receive a member of the year award.
Steve Cason, Hach regional sales manager, attributes Hach's recognition to the training programs and partnerships that its California sales team has created with CRWA. The training programs utilize Hach's hands-on mobile demonstration trailer, which travels from plant to plant generating test data and determining the effectiveness of each plant's systems and products.
"Last year this schedule included six weeks of training in conjunction with Hach trailer deployments, which were met with rave reviews," Cason said.
The Hach team will conduct approximately 13 weeks of training along with the CRWA this year. During this tour, California rural water professionals will receive training on how to sample and test for chlorine and coliform bacteria, how to sample and field-test for monitoring in the distribution system, and how to measure parameters such as pH, conductivity, hardness and alkalinity, all associated with corrosion control.
The CRWA, a non-profit organization, provides technical assistance and specialized training for rural water and wastewater systems.
