As stated in the PWQA press release:
Dear Industry Members,
We had every intent to hold our PWQA convention and show in person this year. However, due to the negative impact of the surging Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus through-out the county, we have made the difficult decision to transition to a virtual format again in 2021 as it was in 2020.
LA County, California, where the convention was to be held has had the strongest restrictions in the state since the resurgence of the virus. In addition, other parts of the country are starting to talk about quarantines as Fall nears. The health and safety of PWQA members is paramount and this virtual format will provide an effective way to share the latest information on industry practices, regulations, products, and services.
The virtual conference in 2020 was a great success! We had excellent participation with our virtual education sessions and activities as well as the general sessions. We are still planning to mount a virtual trade show that will provide a level of interaction between the exhibitors and our members. PWQA is continuing to research other ways to highlight the products and services that exhibitors have to offer and that our members need.
More information will follow within the week that will include our virtual schedule and new registration fees. We appreciate your support as we all work together through this challenging time.
I am grateful to our board, our convention committee, Huntington Association Management, and our members for their counsel and guidance as we navigate this change.
If you have any questions or comments please reach out to either John Miller (convention chair) at 520-471-0540 or me at 316-644-0825 directly. Any other inquiries can be directed to the PWQA Office at 626-283-4464.
