Aquarius Technologies assigns new president and CEO

The board of directors for Aquarius Technologies officially announced it has appointed Deborah K. LaVelle as the company's new president and CEO, effective Tuesday, Feb. 9, to succeed former president and CEO Tom Pokorsky.

PORT WASHINGTON, WI, Feb. 10, 2015 -- The board of directors for Aquarius Technologies, Inc., a global provider of solutions for wastewater treatment problems, officially announced it has appointed Deborah K. LaVelle as the company's new president and CEO. Effective Tuesday, Feb. 9, she assumed responsibilities and succeeds former president and CEO Tom Pokorsky, who stepped down to pursue other interests.

LaVelle has over three decades of experience in the water and wastewater industry. With over 25 years of experience in the growth and strategic initiatives for companies with an emphasis on aeration, biological treatment and liquid/solids separation, she will lead the growth for established and new Aquarius product offerings both domestically and internationally.

Her business philosophy embraces a commitment to the preservation of water and providing a "Customers for Life" customer experience. These objectives will be met by focusing on developing a strong customer service culture, customer relationships and technical expertise, as well as providing quality products that offer the lowest cost of ownership to the customer.

"Aquarius is a well-known aeration company with an established and respected reputation in the industry," said LaVelle. "The mission of the team going forward will be geographic expansion of core products and growth through product development, enhancements, strategic alliances, or acquisitions."

LaVelle has served the industry through a number of professional affiliations, including the Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association, Water Environment Federation and Winnebago County Health Department. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in business administration with a major in leadership from Judson University.
