Consolidated Water Co. Ltd., a developer and operator of advanced water supply and treatment plants, announced that its subsidiary PERC Water Corporation has entered into an agreement to construct and commission a 4 million gallon per day (MGD) wastewater treatment facility for Liberty Utilities Corp., which will be located in Goodyear, Ariz.
The construction and commissioning fee for the plant is approximately $82 million, and the plant is scheduled to be completed in approximately 26 months.
“We are very appreciative and honored that Liberty has selected us for this project,” said PERC’s president, Nate Owen. “This new facility will help to address the increasing demand in Liberty’s service territory throughout Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Palm Valley, and the 303 corridor, as these areas have experienced significant residential and commercial growth over the past decade. The new facility will assist Liberty in providing additional reclaimed water for important uses, such as irrigation, which will offset and conserve millions of gallons of potable water for human consumption and domestic purposes.”
