June 12, 2014 -- The Partnership for Safe Water has recently recognized 10 member companies of the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) for their commitment to delivering safe water to their communities.
The awards were presented on Monday, June 9, at American Water Works Association's (AWWA) Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE14) held in Boston, Mass. NAWC Member Companies receiving awards include:
- PRESIDENTS Award for Water Treatment: Pennsylvania American Water's Philipsburg Water Treatment Plant
- 15 Year Directors Award: Aquarion Water Company of CT's Easton Lake Water Treatment Plant
- 15 Year Directors Award: Connecticut Water Company's William C. Steward Water Treatment Plant
- 15 Year Directors Award: Connecticut Water Company's William Neal MacKenzie Water Treatment Plant
- 10 Year Directors Award: Aquarion Water Company of CT's Mianus Filter Plant
- 5 Year Directors Award: Pennsylvania American Water's Huntsville Water Treatment Plant
- Directors Award - Treatment Program: EPCOR Water Arizona's Anthem Water Treatment Plant
- Directors Award - Distribution Program: San Jose Water Company
- Directors Award - Distribution Program: American Water Military Services' Scott Air Force Base
- Directors Award - Distribution Program: American Water Military Services' Fort Leavenworth
NAWC also congratulates Matthew W. Stanley, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of NAWC member Beckley Water Company in West Virginia, on being selected to receive the esteemed George Warren Fuller Award.
Fuller Awards are presented annually by the AWWA to each of its section's respective selected members for their distinguished service to the water supply field in commemoration of the sound engineering skill, brilliant diplomatic talent and constructive leadership which characterized the life of George Warren Fuller.
