URBANA, Ind., May 3, 2002 -- Abresist Corp. recently acquired the principal business and operating assets of Canada Kalprotect, Kirkland, Quebec.

Canada Kalprotect, established in 1989, will continue to provide service throughout Eastern Canada.

Abresist Corp., in business since 1977, manufactures and installs a wide range of mineral and ceramic based abrasion-resistant protective linings including Abresist® cast basalt and Alresist® alumina ceramic for material handling equipment. Abresist services the utility and other industries.
