The City of Atlanta’s Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has launched its Flexible Levels, Options, & Affordable Terms (F.L.O.A.T.) Initiative, a program to bring accounts current, provide resources to customers who are experiencing financial challenges, address field service requests, and correct billing errors.

Collecting payments from all rate payers is vital in supporting DWM’s Capital Improvement Program and infrastructure rehabilitation. The F.L.O.A.T. Initiative includes account adjustments, interest-free payment plans, and one-time grants and credits that will be made available to customers who participate in the program, which includes the following criteria:

  • Single Family Residences
  • Account balance minimum of $300
  • Increased flexibility for senior and fixed income population
  • Payment Plans from six to 24 months
  • Affordable down payments up to $300
  • Automatic waiver of late fees and fines

The F.L.O.A.T. Initiative will be available through October 20, 2022. DWM says that it is also continuing to offer other resources such as the Care and Conserve Program, Senior Citizen Discount Program, and the federally funded Low Income Household Water Assistance Program.
