COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 14, 2002 — The Keith Companies Inc. announced today that its Tettemer and Associates division has been awarded a contract dated November 21, 2001 by the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) to provide engineering services for the Design of Storm Water and Imported Water Recharge Facilities Improvements to nineteen groundwater recharge sites with 47+ recharge basins.
The project includes surveying and mapping, geotechnical investigation and preliminary design for the improvements to the recharge basins in the Chino Basin area, located in western San Bernardino County, California. The basins, when ultimately constructed, will enhance and improve the groundwater in the area.
Tettemer & Associates retained two sub-consultants to assist them in the preparation of the preliminary design activities and geotechnical investigations to meet the project schedule. The engineering fee for the preliminary engineering contract is $640,000. The preliminary design work associated with this contract is to be completed by April 30, 2002.
