The Drop: Preparing for the Revised Lead and Copper Rule

March 12, 2021
Helpful guidance on what to expect with LCRR

E32 (March 15, 2021) The revised Lead and Copper Rule (LCRR) will mean significant changes for the water industry. Black & Veatch process engineer Emily Tummons outlines some of the biggest impacts and offers guidance for preparing for compliance by the 2024 deadline. (Hint: Don't wait!)

Editor's Note: Since the recording of this interview, EPA announced an extension to LCRR deadlines. Specifically, EPA is extending the effective date of the LCR revisions so that the agency can seek further public input. The Biden Administration has signed and sent two actions to the Federal Register for publication, one of which proposes to extend the compliance deadline to September 16, 2024. Please visit the EPA website for details.
