Water reuse roadmap
The Water Environment Federation’s Water Reuse Roadmap is designed to help water managers facilitate successful water reuse programs, from concept development through implementation and maintenance. The book enables water managers to determine the social, technical, and financial feasibility of water reuse options in their specific situation, initiate a water reuse program when appropriate, or expand an existing reuse program based on new approaches and opportunities for innovation.
Goulds Water Technology e-Learning is an online training program focused on the latest advancements in water technology applications. The virtual program is an extension of the in-person, hands-on training offered at the Goulds Factory School in Seneca Falls, N.Y. A course on variable frequency drives is offered, including modules on what a VFD is and how it works. Participants in this course will explore a typical VFD system, learn the role each component plays in maintaining constant water pressure, and understand the effect of motor speed on pump performance. Continuing education credits are offered for each course.

Traffic safety for sewer workers
Inspecting sewers often means being exposed to traffic hazards. Following proper safety regulations and federal guidance for road traffic control can help minimize the risks to your crew. To encourage safe and compliant works zones, while also providing a visual reference for how zone setup can vary depending on street size and traffic volume, Envirosight is offering a free traffic safety poster. It’s ideal for posting inside sewer inspection trucks, crew locker rooms and municipal garages.

New logo
As it prepares to mark its 100th anniversary in 2018, Palmdale Water District (PWD) recently unveiled a new logo. The new logo is a tilted waterdrop in blue gradient colors with a white “PWD, EST. 1918” within it. Three waves, signifying water, make up part of the letter “W.” The waterdrop is accompanied by the words “Palmdale Water District, a century of service.” Kinsey Aesthetics + Communications of Carlsbad was hired to design the new logo, a PWD flag and a 100-year commemorative coffee table book.
