Calgon Carbon announces 6% price increase

Calgon Carbon Corporation (NYSE: CCC) announced today that effective February 1, 2001, it will increase the price of its activated carbon and services by 6%, or as contract terms permit.

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 4, 2001 (PRNewswire) — Calgon Carbon Corporation (NYSE: CCC) announced today that effective February 1, 2001, it will increase the price of its activated carbon and services by 6%, or as contract terms permit.

"While Calgon Carbon has absorbed a substantial portion of increasing costs through improved productivity, it has become necessary to raise prices at this time," said Rick Markle, senior vice president of Calgon Carbon.
