Yokogawa Electric Corporation has released Enterprise Pipeline Management Solution (EPMS) R1.03, the latest version of an enterprise level pipeline applications suite. Developed for deployment at the heart of the pipeline operations management environment, the EPMS supplements a core SCADA platform with specific gas and liquid applications that enable a pipeline operator to manage delivery contracts and associated logistics in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner. Functions handled by the EPMS suite include: gas/liquid nomination and metering; energy value calculation; batch and tank management (multi-product liquids); pipeline integrity monitoring; compressor/pump energy monitoring.

Composite tape
SABIC’s UDMAX™ GPE 46-70 tape is a glass-filled high-density polyethylene grade tape designed for reinforcing industrial applications, such as pipes and pressure vessels, and offering high tensile strength. Fabricated steel tapping sleeve
Mueller Co. recently introduced a new H-306HP fabricated steel tapping sleeve. Designed for hot tapping ductile iron pipe and thick-wall C900 plastic pipe, the tapping sleeve is made from A36 fabricated steel and meets the requirements of AWWA C223. It features an integral bolt flange, Rilsan nylon coating, working pressures up to 300 psi, and is available in sizes from 4” to 16”. This economical tapping sleeve is ideally suited for use with Mueller CL-12, CL36, and Mega-Lite drilling machines in less corrosive soil environments.

CCFRPM pipe
Hobas Pipe’s centrifugally cast, fiberglass-reinforced, polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe is inherently corrosion resistant and lasts 100 years or more. Leak-free, push-together joints reduce installation time and costs. It is widely used in corrosive environments such as industrial effluents, contaminated drainage and foul air as well as cooling and circulating water lines. It is also approved for potable water. Features include: light weight, high strength, ease of installation, leak-free push-together joints and adaptability to a variety of installation methods including open cut, sliplining, jacking, microtunneling, two-pass tunnel, casing carrier and above ground. Non-pressure and pressure classes are manufactured in diameters from 18 to 126 inches.

Pipeline data monitor
HydroFlow is a software application that monitors and automatically notifies pipeline operators of abnormal stream flow conditions associated with their pipeline water and provides critical insight with historical water level records (where available). Developed to assist pipeline operators and integrity management teams to identify and proactively manage potential risk resulting from river erosion and/or abnormal stream flow conditions. As a standalone, cloud-based application, HydroFlow can be used with the operator’s existing data and risk management system or as part of Cenozon’s Pipeline Integrity Risk Manager (PIRM) software for a comprehensive approach to risk management.

Cordless power pipe beveler
Reed’s Cordless Power Pipe Beveler deburrs and bevels plastic pipe of 2” and larger diameter. Creates fast, smooth bevels in the field. Extremely useful on most PVC glued joints and some sizes of bell and gasket joints. Adjustable for bevel length, the router bit cuts evenly. To eliminate damage to the gasket, pipe bevel is required when installing into a pipe bell. Cement joint bevels allow for even distribution of solvent cement glue to maximize contact area. Beveler system is powered by 22,000 RPM, 18 V cordless die grinder with lithium-ion battery.
