HORSHAM, PA, JANUARY 20, 2017 --Severn Trent North America has successfully secured a multi-year contract renewal with Inima for the full-scale operations and maintenance (O&M) of the City of Hialeah's reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment plant (WTP).
The contract, which is in excess of $3 million, includes responsibility for a 10 million gallons per day (MGD) brackish water, RO plant with further expansion capacity. In 2012, Severn Trent supported Inima-AECOM's startup and commissioning of the plant, which was developed using a design-build-operate (DBO) delivery model. Severn Trent has been providing operation services to the City since 2013, delivering water services to approximately 4.5 million residents.
"We are happy to extend our relationship with Severn Trent so that we can continue to leverage their industry knowledge and expertise for the successful operation of the Hialeah WTP," said Inima General Manager Ramon Diaz. "Our partnership with Severn Trent is very valuable for us as well as the communities we serve. We are grateful to have their support through commissioning, startup and now, long-term operation."
"Severn Trent is pleased that Inima continues to appreciate the value and commitment we bring to the City of Hialeah, which also confirms our pledge to the Florida market and its residents," said Severn Trent ─ North America President and CEO Stephane Bouvier. "I am confident that our operational and management expertise will continue to benefit Inima as well as the City and its residents."
