DALLAS, TX, Dec. 18, 2009 -- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $31,101,800 to the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). The funds will be used by the TWDB to provide loans and other financial assistance to local communities, intermunicipal and state agencies for wastewater improvements. The effect of the financing will be improved water quality in streams, lakes, rivers and bays with benefits to aquatic life and drinking water resources.
