Worldwide price increase for ion exchange resins announced

Rohm and Haas Company today announced a worldwide price increase of up to 10% across their range of ion exchange resins, adsorbents, and catalysts. PHILADELPHIA, PA, Nov. 1, 2007 -- Rohm and Haas Company today announced a worldwide price increase of up to 10% across their range of ion exchange resins, adsorbents, and catalysts. The increase will be effective Nov. 15, 2007 or as contracts permit.

In making the announcement, Kim Ann Mink, Vice President and Global General Manager, Ion Exchange Resins, stated that the increase is needed to cover the continued escalation of raw materials, energy, and freight costs. She further stated, "We remain committed to our customers to provide them with high quality and innovative products. Although we are always looking to find ways to minimize the impact of increasing costs on our customers, it is now necessary to pass along product price increases."

For more than 60 years, Rohm and Haas has been a leading developer and manufacturer of premium ion exchange resins, adsorbents and polymeric catalysts.
