PASADENA, CA, Sept. 23, 2008 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that it received a contract from Polk County Utilities to provide professional services relating to water infrastructure projects through a Master Consulting Agreement.
Officials did not disclose the contract value, yet noted the contract length is 3 years with two 1-year extensions possible.
Jacobs will provide design, permitting, and construction phase services for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities on a task-order basis. In 2005, Jacobs received a similar contract from the County for transportation services. With the addition of this contract for water projects, Jacobs will be able to provide a comprehensive range of infrastructure services, assisting Polk County in its efforts to provide a superior community for current and future residents.
Polk County recently won the prestigious title of All-American County by the National Civil League. A principal reason the County was awarded this designation is their 2024 Plan; a shared vision for the future created by Polk County in conjunction with community leaders and residents. This plan includes provisions for sustainable growth and infrastructure management that will stimulate economic development while safeguarding the environment and the quality of life for residents.
In making this announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Kevin McMahon stated, "We are pleased that Polk County has chosen us for a second general engineering services contract. We look forward to supporting the County with all their infrastructure needs."
Jacobs, with over 56,000 employees and revenues exceeding $10.0 billion, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
