The three-year deal includes a 12 million gallons per day (MGD) surface water treatment plant (WTP) and one potable water booster station.

HORSHAM, PA -- Inframark LLC has entered into a partnership for the operations and maintenance (O&M) services for St. Bernard Parish, La., that includes a 12 million gallons per day (MGD) surface water treatment plant (WTP) and one potable water booster station. The multi-year contract began on October 1, 2020. The WTP was commissioned in 2015 and treats water from the Mississippi River.

The addition of St. Bernard Parish builds on Inframark’s growing presence in Louisiana, where our Plaquemines Parish partnership has been providing reliable, compliant, and sustainable water and wastewater O&M services for 15 wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and five WTPs since 1998. During this time, we also have developed excellent relationships with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LADEQ), the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Region 6.

From a regional standpoint, Inframark has been providing full-service public-private contracts for O&M and management of both WTPs and WWTPs, as well as collection and distribution systems, on the Gulf Coast for more than 40 years.

“Inframark shares a deep understanding of the importance of the reliability of quality water and wastewater services in our daily lives and we’re excited to be entering this partnership with our neighbors,” said Senior Area Manager Robert J. Morgan Jr. “We are honored to be granted this opportunity to help ensure their water systems are functioning both reliably and safely in the brand-new facility. We are committed to the uninterrupted delivery of clean and safe drinking water for St. Bernard Parish.”
