Newly formed PureTech Systems expands staff

PHOENIX, Aug. 2, 2005 -- In just a few months since announcing its new headquarters office in Phoenix, PureTech Systems, Inc. is increasing its technical and sales staff.

PureTech is a developer of advanced wide-area surveillance and intrusion detection systems, including PureActiv™, an innovative solution that enhances life and asset protection for firms and governments with expansive outdoor and geographically distributed operations. Using geographic information systems (GIS) , advanced scene analysis, and policy-based detection rules and notification technology, the PureActiv solution enables security personnel to take proactive actions by equipping them with specific alarm information including the exact location and type of security threat.

"The appointments of these experienced professionals reflect PureTech's commitment to continue to pursue and implement the most effective wide-area surveillance solutions available today," said Larry Bowe, president of PureTech Systems. "We've assembled a team of industry experts in video scene analysis, systems engineering, channel sales, customer support ,and other valuable disciplines."

Bowe is a veteran of the security industry, having held senior management positions at Verint Video Solutions and Honeywell Corporation prior to joining PureTech Systems. At Honeywell, he was also responsible for the development of mission-critical avionics software and systems. His background includes a wealth of understanding about software technologies and the security industry. Bowe holds a bachelor's degree in computer science engineering from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Key new appointments at PureTech include:
* Craig Crawford, sales director, Western U.S. and Canada -- Crawford comes to PureTech from Verint Video Solutions, a provider of IP-based CCTV security solutions, where he held a similar position as senior sales manager for the Western states and Canada. His earlier experience includes other positions in technical sales, engineering, sales training and marketing. While serving at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), he also helped to implement information systems with the other branches of the Defense Department. A graduate of George Mason University with a degree in marketing, he's served on several industry boards to promote h.323 standards.

* Bob Edmonston - Sales Director, Eastern U.S. -- A strategic market specialist, Edmonston joins PureTech after serving as Federal Sales Manager for Verint Video Solutions. Prior to that, he held a number of regional sales and management positions in electronic security and the networked digital video management environment. Edmonston has developed close relationships with members of top U.S. Government Agencies, resulting in numerous large federal security contracts. A 1978 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in electrical engineering, he has also been instrumental in the development of several new electronic security products.
