Watertight seals
Trelleborg’s pipe seals operation launches two new trenchless technology sealing solutions for high-pressure, potable water pipe relining applications. The new seals provide a watertight seal for most types of pipe including steel, cast iron, concrete and plastic. Both are easily installed using a high-force hydraulic expansion tool and are available in multiple diameters. The L-Lock-P™ is a rubber liner end seal with stainless-steel expansion bands, designed to keep the liner firmly in place. The I-Lock-P™ is a mechanical seal applied without a liner to repair sections of cracked or damaged pipe.

Flowmeter without metals in the fluid path
There are no metals in the fluid path of F-461 Series inline Variable Area Flowmeters from Blue-White, making these units well suited for use in many ultrapure applications. Constructed of tough, chemical-resistant polysulfone, F-461 flowmeters offer better resistance to high temperatures, pressures and a broad base of harsh chemicals than many plastic flowmeters on the market. The high-capacity F-461 utilizes precisely engineered ridges molded into the meter body, which guide PTFE floats. Calibration range is 1 to 35 GPM (4 to 130 LPM) and permanent direct-reading scales are easy to read. The full- scale accuracy is +/- 2.5%.

Membrane tracking app
SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions’ new mobile app, ModuleTrac, allows water treatment plant operators to track, monitor and analyze their ZeeWeed ultrafiltration membranes. The ModuleTrac app uses an operator’s mobile device to scan and track the location and maintenance history of ZeeWeed membranes using a unique bar code placed on each module. This information is then fed into InSight, which analyzes, archives and reports on the data at a train, cassette or module level. From there, users can view data, run reports and create graphics and charts to monitor and optimize their water treatment systems.

Wet-weather monitoring
HydroFlow from Cenozon is a software application that monitors and automatically notifies pipeline operators of abnormal stream flow conditions associated to their pipeline water and provides critical insight with historical water level records (where available). Combining real-time stream flow data with the user’s pipeline water-crossing data, HydroFlow employs data visualization and geospatial mapping technology to provide a visual snapshot of pipeline crossings and associated water gauges. HydroFlow can be used with the operator’s existing data and risk management system or as part of Cenozon’s Pipeline Integrity Risk Manager software.
